Team/Member Activitiy

Registered by amjjawad 

To become a member of Lubuntu, that is not a hard thing to do. To remain active and contribute, that is the hardest part. Having that said, and while it is no secret now that we are planning and have already started to plan for 14.04 which is going to be our first LTS Release, I think, it is VERY important to maintain a certain level of activity within Lubuntu Team.

First thing first, this list need to a clean up: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/Get%20Involved/WhoWeAre

Second of all, I'd strongly suggest to have a read at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xubuntu/StrategyDocument#Xubuntu_Community

NO, we do not have to really copy-paste other communities experience (even though that is not wrong) because I understand Lubuntu is different from Xubuntu Team for example but why not have a look and understand how other communities work and organize themselves?

So, simply put: those who are inactive need to step down/quit and whenever they feel they have some free time and can contribute, they can re-join.

There are some blueprints I have registered recently. One about the whole team (Lubuntu). One about Lubuntu QA. One about Lubuntu Marketing and Communications. With this one, I guess we have the full set and the whole picture regarding the structure of Lubuntu Team.

Whiteboard

[amjjawad] IMHO, without having strong Sub-Teams or to be more accurate, 'active' Sub-Team, I don't see any progress in this regard. Lubuntu Community for one year and a half depends totally on the activities of its Sub-Teams: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/SubTeams - once the sub-teams re-build or re-organize themselves, the activities, without a doubt, will be increased and improved too.
