Improving how users identify who helped to solve a problem

Registered by Jim Hutchinson

Recently some work has been done in Launchpad to help improve how a user identifies how a problem is solved. This was well documented in bug 107810. While the implementation is an improvement, it is still not perfect. For example, see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/10016. Here the user did not mark the answer from Cesare Montedonico as having solved the problem. Instead, they most likely added their comment and clicked the problem solved button directly below the comment box rather than the "this solved my problem" button contained within the answer Cesare gave. In addition, there are certainly cases where more than one person helped to solve a problem.
