different icons for each different desktop

I believe it would be nice to have the option of having a different set of icons for each desktop.
I know several people that would like this so to have it feel more like real desktops where one places what's related to each work area in each work area.
another person suggested it in Ubuntu blueprints: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/different-icon-on-different-desktops
and in the kde-forums' KDE4 Suggestions (quite a while ago) http://www.kde-forum.org/artikel/16168/KDE-4-Suggestions.html .
I repost it here give that in those places it didn't appear to get an answer and this seems like the proper place to post it.
