Suggest new models for positioning and resizing objects in Inkscape.

This is useful because it is easier to build a document from top to bottom, enter values for coordinates and sizes and know exactly how the code will

Sorry for my English! I'm beginning!

This depends on the use case - technical drawing for example largely depends on a normal oriented Cartesian coordinate system, using the 1. quadrant as drawing area.

The main part of your specification is a known issue and work-in-progress, see
Bug #170049 “Inverted ruler co-ordinate system”
and for a configurable GUI coord system
Bug #170347 “ability to set coordinate origin”
Bug #171488 “User-defined coordinate system”

See <http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Talk:BlueprintNewMethodForResizingAndPositioning> about the second part of your proposal (transform handles - do not to consider the thickness of the edge).

@JazzyNico - can we merge blueprints? <https://blueprints.launchpad.net/inkscape/+spec/move-point-of-origin> seems related, possibly others I missed?

@~suv - blueprint merged and reports linked.
