Chassis based User Interface for Node Management in Horizon

Registered by Nikunj Aggarwal

This blueprint has been superseded. See the newer blueprint "Add Angular Ironic panel" for updated plans.

Grouping the nodes at Chassis level

On the Ironic API side we have chassis grouping construct which allows nodes to be mapped to different chassis groups and we want to show the same in the Ironic UI. Grouping at chassis level is necessary to show less cluttered UI, allow users to find a specific node faster than using pagination or endless scrolling mention in above blueprint. This chassis level mapping will automatically map the all node of a chassis to a chassis group. This will allow a clear separation between the nodes of different chassis.
This enhancement also gives the flexibility of adding a node without mapping it to any chassis group.
