Q: Are you planning to clone images in other regions automatically or user should call API that will be made available in this BP[1].

A: The idea was to make it an on-demand service using the clone task; the reason was that a user might want different metadata on the image (e.g., the image tags might need to be different depending on how the image is intended to be used in the target region); also there might be reasons why a user would not want the image to be present in all regions.
