Bug Description

I've tried to burn the image on the several times on the different kind of cd-r and cd-rw discs. While the md5sum of the image is ok:
  [vv@localhost iso]$ md5sum dapper-install-i386.iso
d0aac62d385430db8c78d28227ddcabe

I could not boot these cd's though I can easily browse the cd content inside the linux.

However, please try to boot that image before.

CD boot problems are very common, and if not media related they tend to be hardware-specific. Take this thread on the Ubuntu Forums for example:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=153989

However, if this does turn out to be a new bug then I'll be more than happy to re-open it. In that case, please provide more information. Especially, what hardware are you trying to boot the image on, and what exactly happens when you try to boot?

Thanks

Well, that's true. However, how to explain the following:
As I said before, I was not able to boot with dapper-6 kubuntu's image.
After that, I tried to make dapper-6 xubuntu variant. I have used packages
from kubuntu cd (which I had burnt but could not boot with). Additional
packages were downloaded with help of jigdo. Then I made xubuntu install cd
and I burned it to the SAME cd-rw disk that I previously used for kubuntu.
I was able to boot and install xubuntu from it! Unfortunately, after
installation I reveal the network is not active. However this is another
problem.

best regards
Valery
