Just download a dump of the wikipedia pages you want to be able to read offline, *don't* uncompress it, do a
sudo splitWp <name of the dump>
...and as soon as you start wpGui your computer will provide an offline version of the wikipedia at the URL http://
What you get by installing this package is all the text of wikipedia on your local computer What you can't expect is all the images and the original gui: This package is optimized on footprint.
