Old description:
Unofficial stable Freeradius builds for Ubuntu.
This ppa is for freeradius version v2.2.x. The v2.2.x series is now End Of Life. Only security fixes will be applied to v2.2.x. Users of 2.2.x are encouraged to migrate to the latest version 3 release.
Mostly compatible with official Ubuntu/Debian package, with the following main differences:
* Up-to-date with latest stable version from freeradius.org
* Some additional experimental modules are available in
freeradius-
* Default module configuration directory:
* On new installation, by default modules configuration are loaded
from /etc/freeradius
package backup files (e.g. *.dpkg-old, *.dpkg-dist) from being
loaded and messing up your configuration.
* On upgrade, by default:
* If you replace radiusd.conf with the one from the package,
you'd get the same behavior as new install (modules
configuration loaded from /etc/freeradius
* If you keep the old radiusd.conf, modules will be loaded from
the old location (/etc/freeradiu
* You can overide the default behavior by editing
/etc/
Due to strict libssl version check, you can't use these packages on Debian. You can build Debian packages, either from the sources here or the original freeradius tarball.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:freeradius/stable to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freeradius/stable
sudo apt update
