KDE Photo Applications for standard GTK Ubuntu

Use this PPA to install digikam and/or kphotoalbum
The other packages are only package or build dependencies.

If you experienced errors when updating from digikam 4:4.10.2 to 4:4.13.0
Perform the following:

$ sudo dpkg -r --force depends digikam digikam-data

Then

$ sudo apt-get install digikam digikam-data

Or if it dowsn't work, download digikam & digikam-data packages from this PPA and install them. Here I choose the amd64 architecture:

$ sudo dpkg -i digikam_4.13.0-0ubuntu5~1pmo1.4~trusty_amd64.deb digikam-data_4.13.0-0ubuntu5~1pmo1.4~trusty_all.deb

This was caused by Kubuntu packagers moving /usr/share/appadata/ from the digikam to the digikam-data package.

The situation is now solved in version 0ubuntu5~1pmo1.4~[ubuntu-release], available in this PPA. No errors should pop-up.

Adding this PPA to your system

You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:anton+/kde-photo-apps to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing) 

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:anton+/kde-photo-apps
sudo apt update
