PPA description
UPDATE: The insanity continues now with XBMC 'Frodo' 12.x builds, along with all the dependencies!
This PPA aims to be a one-stop-shop for XBMC 11.x builds on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 - mainly for supporting the AppleTV1.
It pulls in packages from various other PPAs plus a few of my own backports to satisfy all the dependencies required for XBMC 11.x on Ubuntu Hardy.
I'm planning on keeping this updated for the beta builds (currently 11.0 EDEN-beta3) until 11.0 goes stable.
For a full install guide that covers the Hardy install on the AppleTV1, including updated ALSA drivers (for HDMI sound), NVIDIA card drivers, CrystalHD support, AppleTV remote and proper permissions for shutdown/restart within XBMC, see:

Installation:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 7CD48D16
Add these lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/andybotting/xbmc-hardy/ubuntu hardy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/andybotting/xbmc-hardy/ubuntu hardy main
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:andybotting/xbmc-hardy to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:andybotting/xbmc-hardy
sudo apt update
