Take snapshot of page and show it in a splitted view

When working on notebook pages, i often need to look at least two pages. Splitting the editor may not be possible because of the application's structure. Even if it's possible it'll require too much labor.
There may be a way to look at two (or even more) note pages simultaneously: To eliminate structural problems related to navigating and editing, these features may be disabled.
What i am trying to say is opening the current page as read-only and as is. Like "holding" or "snapshot of" a page. It may be opened in a new window, or in new pane. Opening in a new window creates the possibility to open more than one page.
Opened pages ("hold-page"s) holds the formatted view of page as in the opened time. Editing the original page won't change the "hold-page". Thus comparing can be done between different pages or (pseudo-)versions of page.
