Optimisations for XML Zebra

XML Zebra currently re-calculates intermediate paths (e.g. all paths below a given local element). These could be calculated once and stored, instead. This should be faster, but may require more memory.
There might also be performance advantages to running multiple threads when running on a multi-processor system.
