Integrate WOL functionality into Xibo for attached PCs
We have had a couple of instances where the computers attached to a display got shutdown due to power outages, so it would be great to have a wake-on-lan subsystem added to Xibo. Xibo would need to collect the mac address, ip address, and subnet mask of the client in order to have enough information to wake the PC. You could then optionally associate a "Wake PC" action with a client listed on the display page. It would need to be smart enough to resolve the broadcast address of the client's subnet by examining its last known IP address and subnet mask, and send a directed broadcast to that address (rather than just doing a simple broadcast in the subnet of the Xibo server).
An alternate, more general purpose way of accomplishing this is to add a shell scripting engine to Xibo, where Xibo administrators can write and save shell scripts to run on the Xibo server that can be associated with any particular client.
