The time the server considers a client to still be alive after it's last call to xmds should be configurable in the server interface.
Ideally, this parameter should be passed somehow to the client such that it calls the webservice for new schedule information, new files etc more frequently than the timeout - and thus stays logged in.
DG: XMDS has now got a Ping method which could be modified to accept the configuration information. Or maybe we should have another method that is informed of other client settings.
