A checkbox on the media items(image, video, flash etc) form saying "Stretch or resize"?

An Option (a form with a checkbox or something similar) that enables a user to choose whether he would like the media (images, video flash powerpoint etc) to "Stretch or resize" during assignment of media onto a layout. This saves significant amount of time for a user as he does need to alter dimensions of a media item (using 3rd party softwares) according to a specific region every-time since region size could vary as per layout contents and needs.
