Extend WebSampConnector to send any SAMP message

It'd be great if a webpage using WebSampConnector could send any arbitrary samp message. At the moment it's restricted to exchanging votable/fits/ssa and the pointAtSky / highlight row messages - and it's helpful that these messages are supported by specialized functions. But if the javascript library also had a function such as sendSampMessage(mtype, message), then this could be used to send any other message - including ones not-yet-defined.
My motivation? - I've added WebSampConnector to a registry browsing web application I'm developing (http://astrogrid.roe.ac.uk/ravioli/), and would like to be able to samp-message registry resources and bibcodes.
