Workload fingerprinting - Fingerprint Visualization

Workload fingerprint captures the behavior of a workload. A visual representation of the fingerprint makes it easy for a data center admin to understand overall workload behavior and use the same to potentially take resource management decisions.

The fingerprint consists of a phase transition probability matrix (n x n) and a phase residency matrix (n x 1), where n is the number of phases as configured for the fingerprint generation strategy.

Both matrices contain positive real numbers, which are not easy to interpret,therefore the fingerprint must be visualized in an intuitive manner. The fingerprint plugin for the watcher dashboard provides this visualization.
