In Vitrage we would like to allow alarm aggregation.
In this blueprint we discuss the Aggregate Alarm template, which allows us to enrich the knowledge we have about our entities.
What is it good for?
Sometimes we are being "attacked" by many alarms and we try to figure out which of them are the ones most important to us.
The aggregation will help us simplify and illustrate what is really happening.
We can decide how we want to aggregate:
By root cause analysis.
By resource.
By severity.
By type of alarms.
