Whiteboard

== Transistions ==
cogl/clutter 1.18 (DONE)

Upower 1.0 (Will be done first thing in VV cycle)
tracker 1.0 (DONE)
gnome-desktop 3.12 (DONE)

== GNOME 3.12 ==
will need to wait on GTK update for most things (DONE)

Look at which of the new GNOME apps we want to add to the default install (gnome-weather, gnome-maps, gnome-music?) (gnome-weather and gnome-maps are now included in standard install)

gnome-software: I don't really want to include this since we have USC, however it controls the new folders feature in overview app display.

gnome-initial-setup: Will not happen, there is too much overlap with ubiquity

gnome-getting-started videos, should atleast get packaged in the archives, not sure about shipping it on the images however it ends up > 100MB package (was Synced from debian)

tracker support for nautilus (tracker MIR LP: #1313996) DONE

gnome-sound-recorder: (packaged in Debian, will sync next cycle)

*** optional extras ***

wayland: *if* Xwayland lands upstream for Xorg 1.16 and that lands in Ubuntu, we should be able to ship a preview wayland. X will still be default however. - Next Cycle

power: probably should audit power consumption, right now Trusty destroys my laptop battery fairly quickly

systemd init: we may switch to this by default if it works well - Likely next cycle also, there are still a lot of packages missing unit files
