Have The Open Source nVidia Video Driver Turned Off For Non-Supporting GPUs
Certain nVidia cards do not work at all with the opensource nv driver and simply display a corrupted display (see bug #29975). Since the driver doesn't know anything is wrong there is no way to know that it needs to default down to the vesa driver. The only way to load the LiveCD to install is to start of vesa, install, then switch to the proprietary nVidia driver.

2007-11-28 bryce: This is not a valid spec and should not be milestoned. Really, this is just a bug report.
2007-11-28 heno: removed milestone
2007-12-01 draimus: Sorry, I added it to mirror the ATI one which basically set the same goal and to create some sort of solution to the source bug report which (at the time) had not made any progress in almost 2 years. I have obsoleted this.
