Whiteboard

2008-05-27 bryce: Discussions were conducted at UDS. Other specs will cover the projects that were decided on. Noteworthy decisions include:

 * We do not anticipate xserver 1.6 to be delivered in time for Intrepid, so we will focus on having xserver 1.5 in Intrepid.
 * xserver 1.5 is currently pending release of mesa 7.1, which it depends on
 * Upstream is developing two memory managers - TTM and GEM. We will wait to see which one is taken upstream, and pull that into Intrepid if there is time.
 * input-hotplug will be a major focus (see separate spec)
 * l-r-m will be broken up into individual drivers (see separate spec)
 * x-testing-infrastructure is an ongoing development project; bryce will try to put significant focus into this for Intrepid, esp. including automating/expanding the driver bisection page
 * For Hardy we focused on -intel bugs; for Intrepid -ati will be the prime focus, with the goal of getting it to <100 bug reports
 * We have over 1600 Xorg bugs presently. Reducing this to <1000 is a stretch goal for Intrepid
