Wireless/802.11 (in)stability is visually reported to users
Some wireless/802.11 environments are riddled with interference and other factors that make for poor connectivity. As it stands, in some cases an access point that appears to have a strong signal may provide intermittent and problematic connectivity.
To help end users observe this instability, the wireless icon in the Notification Area could use colors to express connections that have been observed (or not) as stable/unstable.
The stability colourization could, for example, appear as:
Insufficient Data / Indeterminate -> Grey
Very Stable -> Green
Fairly Stable -> Yellow/Green
Semi Stable -> Yellow
Unstable -> Orange
Complete Crap -> Red
