I have tested this with gutsy tribe 5 live 20070823.5 and it works. So this spec can be considered completed.
However, dialup support in general on this cd is pretty poor - the network admin and network manager UIs are confusing and dysfunctional (in ways that I think are nothing to do with the fact that it's a winmodem). Also, there is still no restricted-manager integration. These questions ought to be followed up. -iwj 23.8.2007
