VoIP CDR/Voicemail Database Server

Registered by techieg

I would like to see an option on Ubuntu with Call Detail Records (CDR) & Voicemail auto-archive and a frontend GUI (that can be enabled) iintegrated unto MySQL so that those of us opensource VoIP supporters may as well be able to auto-archive this data from Trixbox anFreePBX. An image of the current CDR page on Trixbox can be seen here; http://www.techworxs.com/trixboxcdrimg.pdf . What the purpose of this is that those of use who use opensource voip especially for business have the need to store these call detail records along with the audio of the recorded calls and voicemail. Storing this data on the same machine as our VoIP systems fill up the hard disks with huge data such that it slows down the HDD access speed and deprives voicemail boxes the required space they need, so we are often looking for other places to store the data for future use. This will also essentially make Ubuntu the preferred Linux distro for countless opensource VoIP users at least as a CDR/Voicemail Database Server. This CDR/Voicemail Database Server feature will be an option that can be enabled by those who need it, and configurable to receive scheduled auto-archives from Trixbox/FreePBX. Trixbox can be downloaded fro free at; trixbox.org
