Video File Preview

Registered by Matt Connor

I like how when you hover the mouse over audio files, it plays the first 10 seconds. How about that for videos?

When the video first gets indexed by gstreamer (when it takes the screenshot and puts it as the thumbnail) it should also take 1-2 more seconds to scan for parts of the movie with lots of action (fast motion video and/or lots of audio), and index three sections of it. That way, when you hover the mouse over the video file it will play three random 5 second intervals as a preview for the movie (either in a separate small window or where the thumbnail is). I think that would be ubuntu's chance for a HUGE advantage over the vista users.
