Secure XDMCP for GDM

I'd like ubuntu's gdm to be built with --enable-secure-remote enabled so that XDMCP can be secure. The fact that it is not available that way is very nearly a bug. This is as easy as adding --enable-secure-remote when you configure gdm. If there's a reason that the default gdm can't be built that way, then I would like very much if a second gdm package be provided that is secure.
