Ubuntu Install DVD

Now a days we install a single ubuntu install cd. Then we need to install all others packages of universe & multiverse from internet. If there will be a Ubuntu Install DVD with plenty of 'main', 'restricted' & 'univrese' packages, then we don't need to dependent of Internet.

Ubuntu has provided installation DVDs for the past several releases. What you are proposing is the inclusion of unmaintained software on the DVD, which I'm not sure is a good idea. -mdz, 2006-10-27
