Registered by hybris

Ubuntu edgy, feisty, gusty
Applet Corbeille 2.18.0
I can't empty the trash via applet when a file root inside.
You must to do
sudo rm- rf /home/name/.Trash *
Why trash applet doesn't ask root password for remove file ?

Whiteboard

usr: For now, You can launch your favourite file manager with sudo (or with his GTK+ or QT GUIs) and go to trash.

In Kubuntu, for example: $ kdesudo dolphin trash:/
And you can put this command in Kmenu bookmarks: "kdesudo dolphin" (to run a root mode of dolphin file manager with a simple click). ;-)

hybris : Yes, I know ! So, it's not user-friendly ! I would like that the system ask the root password (As in the administration tools, example : Synaptic) and delete files in the trash without command line to the terminal...

usr: So that you do not have to do nothing of this, when you are in root mode you must delete the archives with "right shift"+"supr" combination.

yuriy: I think this is bug 30842. Please follow up on that bug, and I think this spec should be closed.
