touchpad disable area

I have an hp pavilion g7 series laptop and the touchpad has a small circular indentaition where when in windows you can double tap it and it will disable the touchpad and light up a small light to tell me that it is disabled. As well when I would double tap it again it would re-enable the touchpad. I think that this would be the best option for a new disable touchpad issue. Think about it. Peace Be With You!
