Add terminal icon to default LiveCD and user GNOME panel

In addition to the Firefox, Evolution, and OpenOffice icons on the default main GNOME panel (in the LiveCD and installed desktop) it would be very nice if we included an icon to start a terminal.
Every time I start a new session with the LiveCD ... and every time I log into a fresh installation of Ubuntu I find myself dragging a copy of the terminal icon from the menu try up unto the tool bar (panel) and I see that many others do the same.
