FocusedEffortOnMobilePowerEfficiency

With mobility becoming the big thing, despite having gained a lot of spotlight, suddenly linux is being noticed again for its inability to control its "appetite".

It just doesn't approach such OSes as Windows or Mac in power efficiency: I think a big extended hand to HP, which is just about to release a 24-hour notebook, as well as to focus intently upon improving power consumption for hardware at the very fundamentals (not just pealing-back running processes) would be a very good idea: and it's organizations like Ubuntu's, with a strong figure to give direction (Mr. Shuttlesworth) that can make an impact.

To start, though, information on how to decrease power consumption, and what is inhibiting advances with linux, is needed: and though it shouldn't be a bet, it would be making a statement to at the least aim to beat other OSes on the devices running linux.
