More options in removable media dialogs

Registered by Jouke

This blueprint has been superseded. See the newer blueprint "Apply the 'Preferred Applications' gui lists to 'Removable Drives and Media'" for updated plans.

The removable drives and media preferences dialog box shows drop down boxes with only 1 or sometimes no options. For example, the default for "import digital photographs when connected" seems to be gthumb. However, default ubuntu comes with f-spot so the drop down list should at the minimum contain the command for f-spot. Also a user needs to type an enter behind the current gthumb command to save it in the list before typing a new command (for example "f-spot-import %h") if the command is to be saved in the dropdown menu. It's nice to save commands and it could be a bit more intuitive (with a save or add button or so), or at least the default entry could be saved already so it isn't lost when a user enters a new command.

Commands for input devices seem to be missing totally - I have no idea, but it sounds logical to have something there?
