A clean automatix like setup tool

What Kubuntu is still missing IMHO is a clean setup tool. Something like Automatix but not only for installing certain software. More like YAST,the Codec Assistant could be a part of it. It should not be tied to a special GUI-Toolkit like Gnome or KDE. Instead it shoul be written as a console application with graphical frontends.
I would love to see this in Gusty.
I hope somebody else likes this idea.
