Resilient use of old disk for cache purpose
Registered by

I'm replacing my hard disks before they fail. Thus I get many disks which are working. Could they be reused for non critical use like cache. I'm thinking about a first attempt to mount the old disk to /var/cache. If this old disk fails to be mounted then the disk of the root file system would hold this directory.
This would decrease the computer footprint and reduce its usage cost.
