Dissolve Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and release Ubuntu with optional add-ons

Registered by weblordpepe

I propose simply renaming Kubuntu to Ubuntu KDE, or any other variant which keeps 'Ubuntu' as a single word, and at the beginning. Or even discontinuing KDE and simply provide KDE add-on (or alt-CD) for Ubuntu. The same goes for Xubuntu and all other official Ubuntu variants. This is very important and needs to be considered seriously. Please refer to the discussion thread/poll at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=502087

The ultimate goal is to simplify the product range that is 'Ubuntu'. The current naming scheme for the different editions of Ubuntu does harm towards promoting the single 'Ubuntu' name. Currently, for different editions of Ubuntu, people need to remember single, new words. This implies that Ubuntu is not one platform. It is counter-intuitive and dissolves the word 'Ubuntu'.
