Whiteboard

pitti, 2008-06-10: looks appropriate in general, although I'd like to see some more implementation details:
 - how do we generate the whitelist? I propose to use the already existing quirks database in hal-info. If a machine has any "lshal | grep power_management.quirk", then it should work. That doesn't cover hardware which "just works" without any quirks. This can be represented as "power_management.quirk.none" to distinguish from machines where we do not have any information about. The none quirk is used to some degree, but it might not be comprehensive nowadays. Nevertheless it is a very good starting point IMHO.
 - how does the "hibernate after spending some time in suspend" work? it's mentioned in the use cases, but it is not explained in design/implementation
 - I have no idea about WOL unfortunately

keybuk, 2008-07-02: please let me know when this is ready for review.
