Support for connecting mobile through data cable

There should be enough softwares and support for configuring mobile phones (Nokia,SonyEricsson,Motorola etc) through data cable.Like the PC Suite application which have facilities to backup,send sms from pc,import/export images videos or songs... Support through data cable is always faster than the bluetooth option.
