Enhance Network Manager to automatically detect proxy, ...

Network Manager is an extremely useful thing and I think it could be enhanced so that it is even more useful. It would be nice, if Network Manager could automatically detect the current location (home, office ...). This could be done via the IP-address of the network adapter, the available wireless networks etc. Then this could be used to set the default proxy, the default printer, the default e-mail account, ...
