netbook-launcher enhancement to display desktop or folder items
I love the new netbook-launcher that I am seeing in Ubuntu's karmic alpha6 release. So much so that I now prefer it over the regular gnome menu and will likely use it on my desktop when Karmic is released later this month. I even wish something like it was available for Windows for me to use at work.
As a suggested enhancement, when having selected the "Files and Folders" path on the launcher, it would be useful if there was a sub-panel for displaying actual items residing in ~/Desktop (similar to KDE 4 Folder View widget). This would allow immediate access to these items without having to open Nautilus. Or, perhaps a sub-panel that displays the contents of the currently selected item (e,g, Home, Documents, Music, Volumes, etc.) when in this area of the launcher?
