movie maker for ubuntu

last night i happened to see so called "XP movie maker 2" which is a dvd home video maker,xp ships codecs with base install it also ships this software this a great piece of software for making HOME videos captured from dv cam,tv tuner etc and burn dvd's that can be played on home dvd players.I wish ubuntu should also ship this kind of software giving edge to new ubuntu user to shift to linux.
