A fix for the highlighted text middle click bug or rather current feature.
Currently if you highlight text to middle click into some other space you can not highlight exzisting text to remove it or replace it as the clip board tryes to replace it with what you are trying to highlight to remove. A possible fix would be to expand the middle click highligh so that it ignores highlighted text that is bakspaced out with the backspace or is the same as what is being replaced. I havve played around with this function alot and realy like it and think it may be expanded on to make an amazing Ubuntu feature. Beats win cut and past by a long shot.

I don't quite follow what is being proposed here - can you please elaborate on this proposal a bit further? An example might help.
This is a problem I had trying to use highlight and past and occured mainly in fore fox.
I highlighted a text from a app. I clicked on firfox google search that already had some text in it.
When you highlight the text on the goodle section and backspace to clear it it aquires the text in the goodle portion as the new higlighted text.
This is a old request and not sure if it happened in other apps as per the original posts age.
This is more of a anoyance than a huge bug but may slow power users down.
