Due to bugs linked to the current mesa 6.5.1 package, updating to the latest mesa 6.5.2 for feisty could resolve graphics performance and display problems for some users.
Issue 1:
Weak 3d rendering performance with Radeon 9600 M10 with Mesa 6.5.1
Looks like things are "known" to work on 6.5.2, so it would be great to include Mesa 6.5.2 in feisty.

Issue 2:
Intel 965 chipsets with onboard graphics cannot render 3D as a result of problems with the current mesa 6.5.1 package in edgy. The card has been reported to "just work" with 3D acceleration and beryl when a combination of mesa 6.5.2 and xorg 7.2 are installed on Beryl forums:

2007-05-14 kamion: The final Ubuntu 7.04 release has mesa 6.5.2. For future reference, this would have been better as a bug report rather than a specification.
