Create meaningfull user tours for (K-/X-)Ubuntu

Registered by AB

Hello.

Current information about K-/X-/Ubuntu for new users who consider migrating to Linux are very uninformative and contains almost no value which could help to make migration decision. All tours are look-and- feel oriented and it is OK for those how have no clue how the Linux looks like. But (Ibelieve that) most of new users are interested if K-/X-/Ubuntu is able to replace their current OS. Thats why K-/X-/Ubuntu need workflow or use case oriented tours. For example:

- Photo post-processing in K-/X-/Ubuntu
- SW development in K-/X-/Ubuntu
- Email/chat/VoIP/internet experience in K-/X-/Ubuntu.
- Etc.

These tours should explain on how linux can replace other OSes in user's day-to-day life. Screenshots should give impression of few most popular applications in particular area; the accompanying text must explain clear benefits of those applications and linux benefits in the particular area. These days users tends to ask the "I do this every day with my OS - can linux do the same?" alike questions instead of the "is it about the same as Windows is?". We, the Ubuntu community, cannot ignore that.
