It would be nice if someone could write a program that would do the same functions that GRUB will do, in the command line, when using 'md5crypt' in Grub. A simple program that would just do that. I have yet to find any programs that does this, and Grub takes awhile to load just to use this one functions. A separate package that just did the md5crypt that Grub does would be awesome.
