Working VoIP
Something clearly missed in ubuntu (and linux in general)... is a VoIP software with video that just work as well as the proprietary Skype and encrypts PC to PC communications. It could probably meet the usual SIP/H323 standards to be able to operate with a growing number of access providers boxes (without video and maybe encryption in this scheme).
Present status is Ekiga just doesn't work with my hardware (webcam with integrated microphone pass tests at install, but there is a duplex problem with microphone that I could not solve)... But at least I can hear someone else calling me... but sound quality is very bad: Lots of cuts, noise and so on... with a 8Mbits internet working very well using skype and for other network related tasks.
Well, this is now my only reason to keep a XP partition... and a real "bug" for ubuntu!
Regards
