Default Swap partition mounted on Live CD mode

Registered by swamytk

Edgy Eft Live CD (Beta) does not mount and utilize the swap partition available on Hard disk by default. So low end machines facing problem of paniful slow startup and results in possible failure of installation. But Dapper Live CD automatically utilized swap partition and run better. I think this is very important issue. First impression should be the best!

Note: Here is my experience of installing on low end machine.

Whiteboard

Sorry, I misunderstood here. You're talking about the live environment, but you mentioned this link in a forum post discussing an unrelated issue about swap usage on the installed system. -mdz

Sorry for not giving clear cut information. Let me clarify here now. Dapper use to detect and mount any swap partition on hard disk during live session and installed session. But Edgy does not do so. Because of that low end machines face problem of very slow installation and failure some times. Why can't we enable swap space by default during live session and installed session in Edgy Eft? - swamytk
