Clarification about the linux history, especially for new Users

Registered by mogli

The most time when I see man using the OS from Redmond, they only have it and use it. We have now the time in the history of Linux in which very much "normal Desktop Users" change from Windows to Linux, in my opinion, it's a good thing to tell them about the history of Linux, so that they know something, so they know something about the "Community" and maybe they will help to improve something, because with the history they get linked to Linux.
I've got the vision of very much small pieces of information of this history included in the Linux desktop, which are linked to start-pages how they can contribute.
P.S.: I don't want to say that the majority is stupid, I want to have something on the Ubuntu desktop like a political clarification.
