Current conclusion is that KDE 3 code is sufficiently messed up there is no point fixing it since the large amount of work required would be lost when KDE 4 comes out, so re-evaluate fixing this in KDE 4. Tonio will look at how other distributions implement this to see if there are fixes we can take but for now changing this to informational as there is likely nothing we can implement -- jriddell
With the help of John Tapsell it now looks possible to get it to work with ksamplugins, so the plan is to go in that direction at the moment. The distribution revu might happen in the second place if we discover other issues in ksambaplugins that make it impossible to get something working with it. -- Tonio
