Keychain managed transparent folder encryption. Firefox profiles, Pidgin settings, personal files.

Add to gnome-keychain a method of transparentally encrypting folders with access control identical or similar to that of the existing password system. When a user uses first starts Firefox, Thunderbird, Pidgin, etc they can be prompted if they would like to have their private settings encrypted and protected with the keychain. This could also be done by default and there could be a setting on weather it is unlocked on login or by first access for that program. It is unlikely that these great cross platform applications will adapt any platform specific security features without us providing it to their apps. As we allready have a firefox plugin it would be very integrated there and similarly with Thunderbird, pidgin, or other similar apps.
